Who is Stephen Corbesero?

1961
I was born in Providence, Rhode Island to George and Roberta Corbesero.  I was a Libra baby.

1971
I moved to Reading, Pennsylvania with my family at the age of ten when my father got a job with the Zeswitz music and furniture company.  It was a shock to discover that the railroad on Monopoly had nothing to do with reading books and was not even pronounced the right way!
I attended the public schools in Exeter Township.I was always good in Math and Science, but I discovered my true passion in computers in high school when I helped my math (and home room) teacher, Robert Dahl, get the schools first minicomputers: two Polymorphic Systems 88's (S-100 8080 microcomputers) each with a whopping 20K bytes of memory--they only came with 16K, but we splurged for the 4K upgrade-- with BASIC and Assembly as their languages.
1979--1985I attended Lehigh University where I got my B.S. degree in Computer Engineering (1983) and my Masters degree in Computer Science (1985.) I discovered that I had a gift for teaching as well after having been an apprentice teacher and then a teaching assistant.  While I was a teaching assignment, I was assigned responsibility for a Harris-800 minicomputer.
1985--2001
Upon graduation, I was able to start working for Lehigh full-time as the Systems Manager for the VLSI Design Laboratory newly formed CSEE departament (ECE+CS = CSEE).  CSEE would eventually become EECS, and I would eventually be responsible for more than 70 Unix (Mostly Sun, some FreeBSD) workstations and servers, the department's subnets, and many PC's.  In my spare time, I developed a course on Unix and C programming and teach it as well as other courses as an Adjunct Lecturer.
2001--2008
Moravian College would lure me away from Lehigh by dangling the chance of becoming a tenured CS professor.  Unfortunatly, it didn't work out and I left Moravian.
I was unemployed for nearly nine months while trying to find a job in the Valley.
2009
I started working for PenTeleData in Palmerton, PA doing systems programming and administration.
